Green coffee oil (macerate) (macerate) has a very strong property of keeping water in your skin which greatly improves moistening and makes it softer and younger.
Research shows that green coffee oil moistens 6 times stronger than jojoba or almond oil. Its moistening properties are the result of high content of phytosterols and high concentration of linolenic acid - Omega 6. Phytosterols belong to unsaponifiable fraction - they are vegetable compounds and equivalent of natural sterols present in your skin. The deficiency of these sterols upsets skin protective barrier. The oil has intensive antioxidative properties very effective against free radicals, which cause premature damage and ageing of your skin cells. These oxidative properties of the green coffee oil are the result of high content of vitamin E. Additionally, phytosterols improve elasticity and cohesion of your skin. Large amounts of phytosterols, including beta-sitosterol, also regulate the work of sebaceous glands and prevent greasy skin.
