INCI: Coffea Arabica (Green Coffee) Seed Oil

Green Coffee Oil has a very strong property of keeping moisture inside the skin, therefore, improving skin moistening, softness and smoothness.

Research shows that Green Coffee Oil moistens 6 times more effectively than jojoba or almond oil. Its moistening properties are the result of an exceptionally high natural content of phytosterols and linolenic acid (Omega 6). The phytosterols belonging to the so called unsaponifiable fraction are of vegetable origin and are equivalent to natural sterols present in the skin. The deficiency of these sterols disturbs skin protective barrier. The oil is a strong antioxidant which fights against free radicals accelerating cell ageing process and destroying them prematurely. The antioxidative properties of Green Coffee Oil are the result of the high content of vitamin E. The phytosterols also affect skin elasticity and consistency. The high content of phytosterols, including beta-Sitosterol, balances the work of sebaceous glands and regulates secretion of oil on the scalp.

The oil is a strong antioxidant which fights against free radicals accelerating cell ageing process and destroying them prematurely. Antioxidative properties of the Green Coffee Oil are the result of the high content of vitamin E. Tocopherols (vitamin E) which can be found in unripe coffee seeds are natural and the most effective antioxidants and sweepers of free radicals soluble in fats. Vitamin E administered internally in its natural form enters deep layers of skin protecting it against stress which has oxidative effect on the quality of our skin. The coffee oil prevents photoageing that is a preamature ageing of the skin being the result of harmful external factors (UV). It has regenerative, moistening and anti-inflammatory properties. It accelerates healing and alleviates sunburn redness.

The coffee oil is recommended for the following types of skin:

  • oily, acne and dry (with a need for regulation of sebaceous glands),
  • prone to irritations, exfoliating, atopic, often tensed after washing,
  • irritated and dried after anti-acne and exfoliating treatment (e.g. after the use of acids or retinoids, including retinol),
  • damaged, requiring healing and regeneration,
  • mature, wrinkled and with decreased elasticity,
  • it may be used daily to increase the protection against sun and free radicals,
  • dried skin around eyes.
