Green tea extract - ECO; Camellia sinensisto Manually collected leaves are exposed to water steam so as to prevent fermentation, next the leaves are pressed and sun-dried. In Asia this collecting cycle has remained unchanged for over 4 thousand years. Apart from widely known green tea consumption in the form of liquid, it also has in its composition many ingredients which play an important role as a cosmetic product.
The tea is used in order to prevent cellulitis, sunburns and aging processes.
Functional ingredients in the extract are mainly:
- Polyphenols (17-30%) which have anti-oxidative, anti-inflammatory and photo-protective properties, which prevent harmful effects of sun beams and reduce the creation of erythemas. What is more polyphenols inhibit enzymes (metalloproteins), which are the reason for the decrease in the amount of collagen in the dermis, therefore, inhibiting the aging process.
- Methylxanthines, responsible for the reduction of dilating blood vessels and considerably influencing fats breakdown, are successfully used in the fight against cellulitis.
The studies have shown that ecological green tea extract has an ability to the complete inhibition of collagen degradation, therefore, having beneficial influence on the skin, preserving its healthy look and elasticity.
Our green tea extract has brownish colour and a characteristic gentle fragrance. It is obtained from the leaves of the above mentioned tea tree, originating from organic crops. It is recommended for all types of skin such as mature, sun damaged and with cellulitis.
