Fig opuntia is a species of cactus coming from Mexico. It is harvested only for a few days a year. Oil gathered from its seeds is the most expensive cosmetic oil in the world. The process of its acquiring is extremely time consuming and inefficient, due to low amount of oil in the opuntia seeds. About 470 kg of fresh fruits (approx. 1 million seeds) is needed to produce only 1 liter of the oil.

Fig opuntia oil is a natural cosmetic for mature skin, rich in vitamin E, phytosterols and unsaturated fatty acids. The oil is highly firming and smoothening. It protects the skin from free radicals and UV radiation.
