INCI: Green Clay

French Green Clay similarly to other clays available in our shop, is 100% natural and has been being used for a few thousands of years.

It receives green colour thanks to iron and copper it contains. Initially, in the form of powder, it has green colour. After solubilizing in water it receives beautiful caesium color.

The effects of clays can be compared to the effects of magnesium because positively charged clay attracts negatively charged toxins, removing them from the organism and giving splendid cleansing properties.

The most popular of all clays - green clay has additionally pain-killing, disinfectant, moisturizing and nourishing properties.It consists of ca. 20 different minerals important for the organism such us: silicon, magnesium, calcium, potassium, phosphorus, sodium and others as well as many microelements and trace elements including selenium, molybdenum, zinc.

It can be applied both ways that is internally and externally. Absorptive properties of green clay not only remove toxins from the organism but moisturize it properly and make it more elastic. Besides it exfoliates the epidermis, shrinks skin pores and makes the skin more smooth and fresh.

Applied as a masque, it helps in serum disorders; hypersecretion (mixed, fat, acne-prone complexion) and hyposecretion (thread vein, dry, exfoliating, wrinkle-prone complexion); it prevents the creation of cellulitis. It has positive effect on fair and sensitive complexion.

The internal effects of green clay have been known in traditional medicine. Here, much the same as in external effect, it has high body cleansing properties. It helps in diarrheas, constipations, flatulence and hemorrhoids. When drank in the morning (but prepared earlier) on an empty stomach, it helps in poisonings and morning nauseas. The clay has pain-killing properties in relation to teeth, inflammatory conditions and period pains. It brings relief in petty injuries, abrasions, burnings, insects bites and dislocations.

The clay supplements day-to-day diet with minerals which improve immunity system. It nourishes damaged and dried hair, it helps in removing dandruff and decreases the rate of hair falling.

It is recommended for all types of the skin.

Application:

The same as in relation to red clay.

- A masque for dry, tired and flabby complexion:

To about two spoonfuls of clay, add c.a. 1.5 spoonful of chosen oil, mix it and put it directly onto the skin. After about 20 min. wash it out with clean water.

- A masques for fat, acne-prone or eczemas-prone complexion:

To about two spoonfuls of clay, add c.a. 1.5 spoonful of boiled water, mix it and put it directly onto the skin. After about 20 min. wash it out with warm water.

- A bath:

Pour about 100g of clay into a bathtub and flood it with warm water. We bath in it for about 20 min. The bath can be enriched with algae such as Fucus or spirulina by mixing the clay with seaware in 50:50 ratio.
