Natural Eucalyptus Essential Oil

Natural eucalyptus oil is obtained in the process of steam distillation of fresh leaves and leafy twigs of Eucalyptus species, mainly Tasmanian Blue Gum (also known as Southern Blue Gum). Tasmanian Blue Gum is sometimes called a “gum tree.” Its leaves contain usually from 1% to 2.5% of essential oil. The main active ingredients of the oil are the following: citronellal aldehyde, cineole, camphene, fenchone, landren, pinene, terpilenol, aldehydes – butter, valerian, capronic as well as alcohols – ethyl, amylic and isoamyl.

Eucalyptus oil has strong antiseptic effects and it is perfect for the treatment of conditions with the presence of pus, it is used in inhalant procedures and in the treatment of cold as well as rhinitis. It is effective in cleaning of nasal ducts. The oil is perfect for acne complexion, psoriasis, lichens and mycosis.

For the purpose of massages or baths, it is best to use it together with base oil e.g. almond one. When used in massages, it alleviates pains being the result of tendonitis, muscle pains, rheumatic and arthritic. In baths, it stimulates and cleanses, slightly irritating the skin, making it a little red and providing the feeling of warmth.

The stimulation of blood circulation in muscles and the skin decreases edemas and allows for quicker elimination of toxins out of the cells.

The oil is perfect for energizing, relaxation and revitalization of an organism. In anti-aging preparations, it stimulates the regeneration of tissues, alleviates headaches caused by stress and overwork.

It is also not recommended to use it during pregnancy, especially at its first stage.

Safe use: the oil is not toxic and does not produce allergies.
